Open May - September.  Tuesday, Friday, & Saturday 10am - 2pm
Thursday 4pm - 8pm

The small town of Phelps, Wisconsin, located in Northern Wisconsin, has a huge amount of valuable history buried within it.  It is our goal to display the pictures, tell the stories and preserve our past in honor of the history that has built our thriving community. 

The Phelps Historical Museum isn't the biggest, but the history that has been uncovered is absolutely HUGE.

From the 1800s - 1950s Hackley/Phelps, Wisconsin was one of the largest logging saw mills in the nation.  Along with the lumber mill, we had and still have many heroes throughout the ages, beautiful old resorts, homes, great fishing stories and families that have been here since the beginning. 
Along with the Phelps Historical Museum preserving and displaying our cultures and history, we continue to grow as a community and offer much to the public.
