Follow the road to Phelps for the “Antique Critique”, a fund raiser for the Phelps Historical Museum. Mark Moran, will reveal the stories, past lives and value of your vintage items. Mark is a Professional Appraiser of Antiques and Fine Art and has done appraisals on PBS Antiques Road Show.

Baskets valued at $100 - $500 each will be raffled and with the drawing towards the end of the show (about 4pm).
If you want to learn about your items, please stop in at the Phelps Museum to sign up for a time slot. Or complete the form below, and mail it in with your check. A good description of the items will help with the process, and allow more items to be appraised. A photo of the items will also help, but not required. Walk-ins will be fit into the schedule as best as possible.
All weapons, including swords and knives (though folding knives with advertising are accepted); traps (like leg-hold); Nazi memorabilia; coins and paper money; fine jewelry, including precious gems; Beanie Babies are excluded from appraisal.
The cost is $20 for the first item, and $10 for each additional item. If you just want to attend to observe the appraisals, the cost is $10. A light lunch and refreshments will be served throughout the day, and is included in the ticket price.
Items can be any size, as long as you can bring it into the Commons the day of the event. As an added feature of this event, Mark is willing to come to your home to appraise large items. The cost is $75 per hour, and appointments need to be made outside the 1pm - 5pm time of the show. Call 715-281-5060 or [email protected] to arrange a home visit.
